Zanzibar Spice Tour from your Hotel in the morning, you will be driven to a local spice farm for a detailed introduction to the culinary history of Zanzibar, also known as Spice Island. Spices and herbs were originally introduced to Zanzibar by Portuguese traders in the 16th century, brought from their colonies in South America and India. On arrival you will learn about the life cycle and uses of various types of spices, tropical fruits, and root crops while your guide breaks down on each discovery.
You will learn about farming techniques and their uses as well as how the spices, herbs and fruits are cultivated.
The tour ends with a stop at a spice stall selling fresh packaged spices. Later on you will be accompanied back to your hotel.
